Sarah Hornbeck is a legal technology professional with a background in commercial real estate law and more than 15 years at Thomson Reuters. She works in product-focused pre-sales, helping corporate law departments evaluate legal AI and research tools. Sarah Hornbeck’s work centers on trusted content within Westlaw and Practical Law resources to achieve efficient workflows for corporate governance, real estate, employment, and intellectual property matters, among others.
Before moving into product specialist work, Ms. Hornbeck served as a Westlaw trainer for attorneys, judges, and legal staff in the Washington, D.C. area. She regularly presented on the subject of research efficiencies within trusted legal resources in front of a variety of professional audiences. Earlier in her career, she practiced in the commercial real estate department at Ober Kaler in Baltimore, where her work included drafting loan documentation, title review, closings, and 1031 exchanges.
Ms. Hornbeck ‘s academic background includes legal study at the University of Baltimore School of Law and undergraduate work at Washington College. She has also contributed volunteer service through the Pro Bono Resource Center of Maryland, supporting housing-related discussions between Baltimore tenants and property owners. Away from work, she spends time on the Chesapeake Bay, travels to Maine, and follows West Highland Terrier rescue efforts.
